Avocado Deep Conditioning Hair Mask

005

I'm not one who is big on eating avocados, but I absolutely love what they can do for my hair. Avocados are a good source of vitamins B and E which are great for strengthening your hair, preventing hair loss, and conditioning.

This hair mask is my personal concoction that I use in both my hair and my daughters hair. We both have dry hair and it works wonders with making our hair feel soft and moisturized.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 Avocado {Conditions, strengthens, and helps prevent hair loss}
  • 1 Egg {Great source of protein, helps prevent breakage, strengthens, and conditions}
  • 3 Tablespoons of Coconut Oil {Controls dandruff, moisturizes, and helps retain protein}
  • 1 Tablespoon of Grapeseed Oil {Relieves dandruff and conditions}
  • 2 Tablespoons of Raw Honey {Helps retain water and locks moisture into your hair}

What To Do:

All you need to do is mix all ingredients in a blender until smooth. Then apply mask to clean washed hair. Let  the mask sit in your hair for about 20-30 minutes with a shower cap {or even better, a conditioning cap}. It helps when you either wrap your hair with a warm towel or if you want, sit under a hair dryer. Once finished, thoroughly rinse the product out with warm water and lightly shampoo afterwards {preferably with castile soap}

*Most of the time, I usually do a co-wash {wash with conditioner} and then rinse with warm water. I just feel that shampoo strips the hair you just deep-conditioned. It doesn't leave my hair or my daughters hair sticky or greasy doing it this way!
